On May 8th, we ran in the V Charity Relay-Race Marathon “Pass it on”. Our goal was to support in collecting funds for the patient Matthew Wilczek (Foundation “DOM” Opole). This year we were represented by 2 relay-race teams. Both teams gave their all: team STEGU1 (climber and mountain runner – Adam Bielecki [special guest], Grzegorz Cap, Mirosław Stanek, Tomasz Możdżeń) finished in 9th place, and STEGU2 (Maciej Skucik, Lukasz Michalski, Anna Sowa, Sebastian Kansy) finished in 21st place. Rivalries add a new kind of life and energy to sports. They add meaning and purpose to games and bring a level of excitement that could never otherwise be achieved.
Adam Bielecki (one of the three best climbers of the world) is involved in many charity projects. This is another charity project leaded by Stegu in cooperation with Adam Bielecki. On 11 – 12th March 2016, thanks to our co-work, a group of a dozen people touched by the cancer overcame their illnesses was gaining the Diablak mountain. Mountaineers Adam Bielecki and Jacek Czech supported the expedition team by a word of encouragement and emotional support. Relay-Race “Pass it on” is another example of the fact that together we may achieve more and help those, who need it the most. Once again, we are proud we could help!
